Every grade participates in multiple field trips each year. Our middle school students also have additional overnight trips. The year begins with a two-night team building retreat at Wolf Mountain for grades 6-8. In the late spring, the year culminates with a week-long trip: sixth grade students attend outdoor science camp at Wolf Mountain; seventh and eighth grade students will attend a week long trip to Washington D. C.
Team Building
Students in grades 6 - 8 attend a three day, two night, stay at Wolf Mountain for team building during the first quarter of the school year. During this time, students and staff have opportunities to join in many activities, devotions, and Bible study. Students are able to build lasting relationships with their classmates and learn life long skills for working with others.
Science Camp
Students in grade 6 attend Science Camp in the spring at Wolf Mountain. During this four day, three night stay, students engage in many outdoor science labs and activities, daily devotions, and nightly chapel services. Students learn about astronomy, ecosystems, geology, water testing, fire safety, shelter building, and first aide - all taught from a Biblical perspective. Students also have opportunities to participate in fun activities like ziplining, archery, and rock climbing.
Washington D.C.
Students in grades 7 -8 attend a week long trip to Washington D. C. in the spring. During this trip, students visit many National monuments, sites, and museums. Students connect with our government institutions and history as they visit these well-known sites.
